ABOUT US
Kenya Sunbeam Ministries is a Christian faith ministry reaching vulnerable communities in Teso Western Kenya
Kenya Sunbeam Ministries is a Northern Ireland-based charity working in the Teso District of Western Kenya to be a beacon of light in a dark rural part of Africa.
Through Ellen Allison, God has moved powerfully in that place and is bringing the hope of His Salvation into the lives of adults and children in the community.
Ellen runs a children’s home where 76 abandoned or orphaned children now reside. Not only is she a mother to them, but she has set up a school called Rainbow Academy with over 100 children attending from both Sunbeam Children’s Home and the local community.
Ellen is the local Pastor and has established a well attended church and prayer centre.
OUR VISION
To nurture children through Christian principles, guiding them towards a life of discipline, responsibility, and harmony within their community.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to establish a children’s home for orphaned, vulnerable, and neglected children, as well as those with mental or physical disabilities. We care for children from birth to 18 years. Children from baby care to Standard 4 attend our Rainbow Academy, which is also open to the wider community.
COMMUNITY
We aim to collaborate with the community and local government to uplift and empower individuals economically, socially, and spiritually. Our focus includes fostering positive relationships with other communities, demonstrating love, and sharing a Christian witness with everyone we encounter.
